So this is a bit bizarre. I'm at about 35,000 feet somewhere over Texas watching Real Madrid v. Atletico Madrid live on television!

“How is this possible?” I hear you ask. Well JetBlue has DirecTV on it's planes which means you can watch about 30 channels of live TV. It also has XM satellite radio so you could listen to live radio if you wanted. Quite cool really.

The channel (Gol TV) I'm watching has all the adverts in Spanish but the commentary, analysis, punditry etc. is all in English. Well actually there isn't much analysis or punditry, just lots of adverts in Spanish.

One other I thing I watched a bit of was something on the Travel Channel – 'Deep Fried Delicacies'! All kinds of food, well, deep fried. I think the places they visited and food they tasted were exclusively in the Southern States and the people took real pride in the uniqueness of some of the 'delicacies' – deep fried hamburger anyone?
